Metal Motion Seal Inside Vacuum Valves

Vacuum Valve Metal Bellows are used inside vacuum valves to provide a moving seal and media isolation. As the valve stem moves repeatedly in the axial direction, the bellows compresses and extends with the opening and closing action of the valve.
The metal isolation structure reduces the contact that may occur when a moving position relies on a sliding seal. The product can be manufactured as a hydroformed structure or an edge-welded structure.
Hydroformed bellows are produced from a complete metal tube blank with continuous corrugations. Edge-welded bellows are assembled from precision diaphragms welded alternately along their inner and outer edges.
The suitable structure should be selected according to the internal valve space, required travel, connection arrangement, and operating conditions.
Travel, Cycles, and Valve Integration
Available materials include stainless steel and alloy materials. The axial travel, effective number of convolutions, and expected operating cycles must be designed according to the valve requirements.
For a compact vacuum valve, important dimensions include the bellows outside diameter, compressed length, extended length, and end welding position. For equipment involving repeated opening and closing, the purchaser should also provide the valve stem travel, movement frequency, and expected cycles.
Material selection should consider the operating temperature, process medium, and internal vacuum environment. The ends can be matched to a valve stem, valve cover, or connection seat.
The Vacuum Valve Metal Bellows may be welded to the valve stem or connection seat and supplied as a completed component. This can reduce later assembly steps and improve the match between the bellows and the valve interface.
Development from Valve Drawings or Samples
The technical team can review a complete valve assembly drawing, valve stem dimensions, and the available internal space during product development.
The factory has hydroforming, automatic longitudinal seam welding, argon arc welding, and laser cutting capabilities. Bellows, end seats, and related connection parts can be manufactured and assembled within the same project.
Inspection is arranged during forming, welding, and component assembly. Every product is inspected before packaging, and third-party inspection is supported.
For projects that require confirmation of movement travel or assembly position, a sample can be produced before batch manufacturing. This gives the purchaser an opportunity to check the bellows structure and valve interface together.
Applications, Development Time, and Packaging
The product is suitable for semiconductor vacuum equipment, vacuum coating equipment, solar production equipment, laboratory vacuum systems, and industrial vacuum valves.
Production according to drawings or prototypes is supported. The minimum order quantity is one piece, allowing the product to be used for new valve development, maintenance replacement, and batch equipment production.
The normal development time for a custom sample is about six months. Customized product manufacturing generally requires two to three months.
Photos or videos can be supplied during production. Finished products can be packed in small packages or wooden cases according to their size and connection-seat structure.
After-sales assistance is available by phone or online communication. On-site guidance may also be provided according to the actual situation.
