Continuous Corrugations Formed by Hydraulic Pressure

The Hydroformed Stainless Steel Bellows is manufactured by applying liquid pressure to a metal tube blank. This process forms a continuous corrugated structure and reduces the need for segmented construction. The corrugation profile remains continuous throughout the main bellows body.
The pitch, corrugation height, effective number of convolutions, and end structure can be adjusted according to the available installation space, movement direction, and process medium. Available corrugation profiles include U-shaped, Ω-shaped, butterfly-shaped, and non-standard designs.
The bellows can provide axial flexibility during equipment movement or expansion. It can be used for displacement compensation, vibration absorption, pressure transmission, media isolation, flexible connection, and metal sealing.
Material and Structural Options for Different Conditions
Available materials include 304, 316, 316L, and 321 stainless steel. Alloy 600, 625, and 800 series materials can also be selected according to the operating conditions. The inner diameter can be designed from Φ6 mm, while the available single-ply wall thickness range is 0.12–25 mm.
Single-ply and multi-ply structures are available. Thin-wall, close-pitch, and small-diameter designs are suitable for equipment with limited installation space or sensitive displacement response requirements. Multi-ply structures can be configured when flexibility, structural stability, and repeated movement must be considered together.
Material grade, wall thickness, corrugation shape, and number of plies must be selected according to pressure, temperature, medium, displacement, and expected operating cycles. These parameters are related and cannot always be combined freely. The reference temperature range is -193°C to 1050°C. The actual service temperature must be confirmed based on the selected material, welding structure, medium, and product design.
Custom Connections and Manufacturing Control
The Hydroformed Stainless Steel Bellows can be supplied as an individual flexible element or as a completed assembly. End connections can include end pipes, fittings, flanges, or other custom structures. This allows the product to be integrated with valves, pressure sensors, mechanical seals, and industrial piping systems.
The factory has manufacturing capabilities that include hydroforming, automatic longitudinal seam welding, argon arc welding, laser cutting, and pressure testing. The technical team can review customer drawings, samples, and equipment conditions before production. Key details such as material, diameter, wall thickness, number of plies, corrugation profile, effective convolutions, and connection structure are confirmed before manufacturing.
Inspection is arranged from raw material cutting through forming, welding, assembly, and finished-product acceptance. Every product is inspected before packaging. Third-party inspection arranged by the customer is also supported.
Applications, Ordering, and Delivery
This product is suitable for vacuum equipment, semiconductor equipment, solar production equipment, wind power auxiliary systems, mechanical seals, pressure sensors, and industrial piping.
OEM and ODM services are available. Production can be based on technical drawings or an existing prototype. The minimum order quantity is one piece, which supports prototype development, maintenance replacement, and non-standard projects. Samples can be provided before batch production.
The general production time for one standard specification is about one month. Products using special materials, larger quantities, new tooling, or other custom structures normally require two to three months. Photos or videos can be provided during production.
Packaging options include small individual packages and wooden cases. EXW and FOB delivery terms are supported. If transportation damage is found after delivery, repair or a small replacement shipment may be arranged according to the actual situation. A six-month industry warranty is provided, together with technical guidance by phone, online communication, or on-site support.
